Kevin LeVar is a gifted author, preacher, songwriter, recording artist, and man of prayer. A native to the Washington, DC Metropolitan area, Kevin's ministry has touched many audiences domestically and internationally.
Within the music industry, Kevin is founder and president of independent gospel label God Glorified Music, Inc. (GGM). GGM Inc. partnered with Universal Music Christian Group for the national release of Kevin's debut project "Let's Come Together." Kevin's first single, "You Are Not Alone" was written to encourage families impacted by the VA Tech shootings. The song and video shot to #1 on Gospel Music Channel and earned a 2009 Gospel Music Channel Video Award "Best Video" nomination. Likewise, his single 'A Heart That Forgives" also peaked as #1 and earned a 2010 "Best Video" nomination. The 2008 release of "Let's Come Together" was so well received by the Gospel community and beyond that "Let's Come Together (Deluxe Edition)"—an all-new expanded version—was released October 22nd, 2010 and ranked as #3 Top Gospel CD in the November 22nd, 2010 issue of Jet Magazine.
With over 200 songs in his catalog, Kevin has received honorable mention in the John Lennon Worldwide Songwriters Contest and his music has been recorded by Stellar, Dove, and Grammy Award winning artists. Kevin penned and performed songs such as "Everything He Promised" with Dorinda Clark-Cole on her project The Rose of Gospel and "Amazing God" with Stellar Award nominee Pastor William Murphy on his CD The Sound.
On YouTube, Kevin has over 1.2 Million views including a live performance clip of his single "A Heart That Forgives" from 100 Huntley Street that has ranked as the 3rd most viewed video in the show's 33 year history (only clips featuring Justin Bieber and an American Idol finalist rank higher).
Kevin has been seen as a regular guest on Christian television and radio programs, such as BET's Bobby Jones Gospel, Hour of Power (from the Crystal Cathedral), Daystar's Celebration, Babbie's House, Atlanta Live, 100 Huntley Street, TBN's Praise the Lord, TCT's Alive and Rejoice!, INSP's Camp Meeting, RadioOne, Sirius XM and many more. Kevin has also shared his gift of song at Super Bowl XLIII, Stellar Awards Gospel Brunch, RadioOne One Love Cruise 2009, Rosa Parks Breakfast, The Dream Center (Los Angeles and New York), Bishop TD Jakes' The Potter's House (Dallas) and Israel Houghton's Deeper Level Conference to name a few.
Known primarily for his gift of song, Kevin's talents have now expanded into the world of motion pictures, starring in the new feature length film Nocturnal Agony, in the supporting role of "Officer Davis."
Kevin's current mission is to help people heal through the power of forgiveness. He is spearheading the FORGIVE AND LIVE Campaign (www.forgiveandlivetoday.org), a global forgiveness campaign to inspire 1 Million Acts of Forgiveness.
